Changing manager

If a team has a new manager, it is possible to replace the manager (rather than moving all the employees to under the new manager). By doing so, the team will keep its historical results, instead of starting from “scratch” (which will be the case if all employees are moved to under the new manager instead). To change manager for a team:

  1. Make sure that the new manager exist in CatalystOne Engage, or add the manager to CatalystOne Engage if needed.
  2. Navigate to the current manager in the organization tree and remove him/her from the position by clicking the gear wheel and choosing “Make [Name’s] position vacant“, and then confirming. Choose if the current manager should be completely removed from CatalystOne Engage (i.e. if he/she has quit) or not (e.g. if he/she has changed role or is on parental / sick leave).
  3. Fill the now vacant position with the new manager by following the steps described here.

If the previous manager was not completely removed from CatalystOne Engage in step 2 (only from the position), he/she now lacks a position in the organization tree. In this case, you need to navigate to the user under “Organization” and assign him/her a position by entering his/her manager or group.
