Getting started

What is Populum?

In short, Populum is a simple, smooth and automated survey platform for large organizations. Your organization uses Populum to conduct quick, recurring surveys (sometimes called “Pulse surveys” or “Team barometers”) in the business with a few recurring questions related to the employees’ experience at work.

The main ambition is that the results and reports that are created should be useful in the individual teams, and contribute to an open dialogue in the group – and thereby continuous improvements at the workplace.

I have been invited to Populum – what do I need to do?

If you are not a manager, you do not need to do anything, but can sit back and wait for the first survey to arrive via email (and SMS if your phone number is entered on your user in Populum). If there is an ongoing survey in your organization, you will soon receive the participation link automatically.

When and how often do the surveys come?

The survey schedule and frequency are chosen by your organization. If you are curious about what your schedule looks like, you can contact those responsible at your organization or reach out to us.

If you are a manager, or just eager to see more of Populum already, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Populum. If you have not chosen your password, or are unsure how to log in, you can read more about how to do this here.
  2. Choose “Organization” on the start page or in the top menu to get to your position in the organization tree. Make sure you are placed under the correct manager / in the correct group. If your position is wrong, you can move your user to the right team/group yourself.
  3. If you are a manager, also ensure that your own group of employees is correct. If any changes are needed, you can add, move and delete users yourself, as well as temporarily inactivate users e.g. on sick or parental leave.
  4. You are now ready for the next survey cycle, which you participate in via the link sent to you via email and SMS. When the survey closes, direct links to your available reports are sent to you via email. More information on how to navigate to and interpret the reports can be found here.
